Brown aluminijev oksid kondenziran in kristalizirali pod visoko temperaturo iz zmesi glinice in drugih ter druge surovine. To je značilna visoka trdnost, dobre žilavosti in oblike velikosti. Brusilna orodja iz njega so primerni za brušenje kovin z visoko natezno trdnostjo, kot so: ogljikovega jekla, za splošne namene legiranega jekla, žarjenega temprane in trdo broze, lahko etc.It lahko uporablja tudi kot ognjeodpornih materialov.
